Terese Bernstein has been actively gardening in the
DC area since 1989. Her design sense is innate and
the solutions are practical and proven for the many challenges the mid-Atlantic landscape presents. She
is well known in local nurseries and is sought-after for
school and community gardens as well as residential
design consulting. She continues to develop her skills
and designer's eye by touring gardens, attending
workshops and classes, and always observing the
landscape around her.
In 2006 she and another perennial volunteer gardener,
Shannon Russell, teamed up as A New Leaf, LLC to assist
friends, reluctant gardeners, and new homeowners
revitalizing garden spaces. Shannon has a BS in Natural
Resources and brings diverse botanical knowledge for
site analysis and problem-solving with organic methods.
She is currently enrolled in George Washington University
graduate programs of Landscape Design and Sustainable
Landscapes and enjoys drafting concept plans and color
renderings to complement their design services. |
